This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine how wonderful it would be to learn through music.

My second grade students are very bright and curious.

They are eager to learn and they always try their best each and every day. I teach 24 students and our classroom is pretty small. By the end of the day, that classroom seems even smaller! I give them many opportunities to transition to the rug, to their desks, or to the back table during small group instruction. It's important that they keep moving because an active mind needs an active body.

My Project

My students need an iPod with speakers, CD's and some indoor/outdoor equipment and activities that will promote a healthy mind through movement. The literacy and Math CD's will help students understand new or difficult concepts through movement. The best way for students to learn is to expose them to all learning modalities so that all students can be reached. Auditory, visual, kinesthetic and tactile learners will all benefit from these resources.
