Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day I am graciously greeted by 18 hardworking first graders. Working at a Title I school has proved to have many challenges. Some students walk into my classroom knowing zero English, or some were unable to sleep the night before because they share a bed with multiple siblings. Despite the many challenges they face at home, they are always eager to learn, share, and work cooperatively together.
It makes me such a proud teacher to see them achieve greatness.
I am so honored to walk into my classroom every day and help foster independent learning as well as positive classroom collaboration.
My Project
iPads in our classroom will give my students a chance to explore and enhance their learning through technology. iPads allow access to many applications that foster independent learning. Many, if not most, of my students do not have access to technology in their homes. With an iPad, each student will be given an opportunity to explore the digital world while enhancing their literacy. Students will be able to develop products and share their work with their peers as well as students around the world through technology given on the iPads. I can't wait to see the amazing things my students produce!
