This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very hardworking and are always willing to go the extra mile both in the classroom and at home! Learning from a distance has not been the easiest experience for them to adapt to.
As their teacher, I want to make sure that even from a distance, I can give my students the best learning experience!
My students are currently learning through Zoom and Google Classroom. They are doing their best to adapt to this new way of learning but, their home lives and lack of technology, has made this experience very difficult.
My Project
When becoming a teacher three years ago, I never would have imagined having to teach my students through a computer. Ending last year remotely was a new challenge that I was willing to take on.
With this being said, I've learned a lot about how to successfully manage teaching 5th graders remotely.
For the upcoming school year, an apple pencil would help me teach my students at a whole new level, this would allow me to turn my Ipad into a whiteboard to assist with my students learning. My students learn best from visuals and using a computer mouse it is very hard to make visuals that make sense to their learning. By having a pencil, I will be able to make more precise visuals that they will understand and be able to see more clearly.
The Apple Tv will aid my students in learning when we are back in the classroom. This will allow me to project my iPad from anywhere in the classroom so my students will be able to see what is on my screen. It will also allow my students to project their Ipads so they can share their work with one another as well. The Apple Tv will take our learning to a whole new level and allow my students to collaborate with one another as well!
These materials will help create a brand new learning experience for my students during this difficult time both, remotely and in person. Giving my students all of the materials they need in order to succeed is so important to me!
