My students need Kindle Fire tablets to help reinforce literacy, math, and science concepts.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. N's classroom raised $752

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are part of an ICT fourth grade classroom located in the Washington heights neighborhood of upper Manhattan. The majority of my students come from low-income families and receive free lunch. The access to technology in these households is limited. Additionally, when they're in school, they only have access to a technology room once a week.
My students learn ELA, Science, and Social Studies within one classroom setting and require differentiated learning applied thoroughly towards our curriculum.
To engage their curious, enthusiastic, and growing minds, immediate access to technology will allow them to gain access to learning hands-on, a requirement for their differentiated learning.
My Project
Through the use of these Kindle Fire Tablets, my students will be exposed to many different hands-on experiences and learning styles. These Kindles will allow my students to have enrichment and differentiation during all lessons, especially ELA and Math workshop. Some examples of websites and apps that they can use during out workshops and lessons are IXL, XtraMath, GoMath, Myon, and NewsELA.
The Kindle Fire Tablets will ensure that my 4th grade students have daily open access to technology in the classroom!
By donating to this project, you will be giving a 10 years old an experience that they wouldn't have in their home. My students will get to become fluent in technology, and I will be able to design engaging, differentiated, rigorous lessons.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
