My goals for this project are twofold: to cultivate emotional well-being and to build a strong foundation for literacy. By providing sensory tools, I aim to create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel emotionally secure and ready to learn. By investing in Science of Reading manipulatives, I seek to equip my students with the essential skills they need to become confident and proficient readers. Ultimately, I want to empower them to become lifelong learners who are both emotionally resilient and academically successful.
What makes my students special is their remarkable resilience and their eagerness to learn, even in the face of challenges.
Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and may experience a range of emotional or academic difficulties. Despite these challenges, they demonstrate a remarkable capacity for growth and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. They are creative, curious, and possess a unique blend of strengths and talents. They are also developing their social skills and are learning how to be good members of a classroom community. They are full of potential, and with the right support, they can achieve amazing things. They are a group of individuals who deserve the tools to succeed both academically and emotionally.
By providing these sensory tools and Science of Reading manipulatives, we are not only addressing their immediate needs but also investing in their long-term success. We are creating a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. We are fostering a love of learning that will serve them well throughout their lives
