My Students

My students are amazing. They are smart, resilient, and critical thinkers. Each student learns differently and should be provided an opportunity to do so. This year with remote learning, being engaged can be a challenge however my students are showing up every day with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the motivation to succeed.

My Project

Out Of My Mind is an amazing book that brings awareness of people with disabilities. Through this book, students will learn about empathy, tolerance, love, and acceptance. With remote learning, having a book in their hands is a great way to keep students engaged and actively participate. Students will do research on disabilities and create a presentation through google slides. Through TPT, there are numerous digital activities that go hand and hand with this book that students would enjoy doing. Through grand conversations and group work, students will dive deeper into this book like never before.
