My Project
Being in 1st grade is very exciting and scary for some students especially if it is their first school experience, or if they are new to our country. Many of my students come from very low-income to poverty-level homes and some have not had any prior school experience. Some struggling with language and experience can better connect using their hands. I would like to make their first real school experience as fun and enjoyable as I can by providing a variety of materials and tools (play doh, crayons, markers, pencils & pencil bags) that fit the different learning styles of my students.
By having a variety of materials to provide to my students, will help my unique learners build on their language and reading skills.
