My Students

Reading can be challenging and discouraging to emergent readers. My goal is for all my students to be at or above grade level by the end of the year. With your help, I can help students discover that reading can be fun and exciting.

A kindergarten room is filled with curiosity and discovery.

The students find everything exciting and as a teacher I want to keep their learning exciting. My school sets high expectations and we strive to help students reach those goal because we know they can.

My Project

My students need Hear Myself phone, Koosh Balls, and fly swatters to help engage them in an enjoyable way to get the practice they need while helping them discover reading can be fun. My students will use these items to aid in their learning of fluency, phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary and comprehensions. My students will use the whisper phones to aid in fluency. The Slinkys, slap bracelets and Koosh balls will be used for phonemic awareness and phonics activities. The flyswatters will be used for games identifying sounds, syllables and sight words.

The donations will provided the students needed material to keep them engaged as they are learning to read.

With the various materials the students will not get bored and will always look forward to reading time. The donations will help me encourage to students to be life long learners.
