This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am thankful and honored to work at a charter school where my scholars come to school every day eager to learn, to create, to explore, and to reach amazing dreams. My scholars and I are part of a college preparatory charter school that promotes joy and rigor into every class.

We believe that a classroom and a school that promotes movement, curiosity, deeper level thinking, hands-on learning, and most of all high expectations, will help our scholars to become whatever it is they wish to in life.

We work intensely to create an atmosphere of joyful rigor in the classroom where scholars are engaged in a dynamic learning scenario that will lead them to reach their highest potential.

My Project

Get Your Teach On is a National Conference that will be held in Dallas. The purpose of GYTO is to provide teachers with fun and academically rigorous ways of teaching to keep our scholars engaged in their learning process.

I believe that a classroom filled with joy, rigor, and high expectations are key to students' success.

I want to attend this conference because it encourages teachers to be creative, to think outside the box, to make learning fun and engaging.

In this conference, I will learn best practices that I can implement both as a teacher and instructional coach to help our scholars increase their desire to learn.
