My Students

I have a great resource class at an elementary level. They come from diverse backgrounds and many of them are English language learners. They all have different learning styles and many benefit from visuals and manipulatives to help them learn new concepts.

There is a famous quote that says "I hear and I forget.

I see and I remember. I do and I understand." I would like our students to have both visual and hands-on experiences to help them keep engaged, and help them learn new concepts.

My Project

This literacy project will make a huge difference, as students will work on a variety of reading and phonics centers that are engaging and interactive. They will learn how sounds make up words, and how to put letters together to make words. There are bright colorful visuals to help them understand the task. This project will help students learn how to decode words, and to learn how to read is the greatest gift we can give our kids. Reading is very difficult for many of my students, and I want to make the process easier by giving them tools to succeed.
