My Project
This project is to help fill my classroom with interactive games for students of all languages, learning abilities and social skills. Since COVID, students have struggled to put their phones away and interact with others around them. They strive for interaction & acceptance but lack the skills to connect face-to-face. My goal with this project is to help students gain basic people skills - to help students have social contact, work on communication and build social connections.
Employers are telling teachers they need employees with interpersonal skills who can speak with customers, co-workers, etc.
Helping students obtain these skills in high school can help them succeed in the workforce. Starting with non-invasive interactions through a game can help break down barriers.
Our student population is quite diverse with different languages and learning abilities. With the variety of games available in this project, students of all levels can benefit from these resources. Please give our students access to these basic games they may have never played before to help their sociability and communication skills.
