it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a special education teacher that supports students in grades K-3 with social-emotional learning. As you might imagine, during this public health crisis, this learning is more necessary than ever.
Trying to teach social-emotional lessons through distance learning has been really tricky.
It requires that I become very creative about how I engage and support students. Please help me get materials like puppets and activities to teach students these important skills during this difficult time!
My Project
Social-Emotional Learning is really important for all kids. During the difficult time of the Covid-19 school closure, our kids need even more support in understanding and learning how to deal with their emotions.
Through books about feelings, puppets, and games I will be able to support social-emotional distance learning for my special education students grades kindergarten to 2nd grade.
We are using online platforms to work with students for the remainder of the school year and one of the ways that I support my students is by teaching them about feelings, emotions, and skills to help them cope. This project will help me to provide these services in an engaging and fun way.
