This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

By using the Reggio Emilia Approach young children in my classroom are engaged, active learners who construct their knowledge. The classroom is a dual

classroom with three- and four-year-olds in mixed-age.

In my school, teachers are researchers who collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive environment. Authentic relationships are the foundation of and the prerequisite for all learning, development, and change. We believe in the importance of engaging parents and empowering them to be advocates for their children.

My Project

Currently has a first-year teacher these books will help me teach my young students about staying healthy during this difficult time that we are all going through. These books provide the steps for my students to learn how to wash their hands and what we can do in the classroom to stay safe. My students are young so many of them do not understand the precautions that we need to take to stay healthy in the classroom and with the help of this books and the vivid illustrations it will help my students understand and develop healthy habits. Since it is my first year as a teacher, I currently do not have any books that touch based on this topic. So, it will be very beneficial for my students to learn about these healthy habits. Flexible seating is important for my students during large group meeting some students need a choice of seating to stay focus and learn. I want to make sure that my students feel comfortable as a result this will help them make good choices and stay engaged during our morning meeting. I am also requesting a printer because I need it to print out high quality photos and much more to create my story documentation panel. In the Reggio Emilia approach documentation is another principle that is embrace as a teacher, I see myself as learners and researchers so that I can be in a space of process and active learning. When children are exploring in the classroom, I carry around a clip board, and write down conversations so that I have a living document that shows I am a learner. I must document and work and make it visible so that they community can see their process of thinking projects, dept studies that the
