Help me give my students a teaching iPad and some accessories to be able to wirelessly display math notes, discussions, and PowerPoints in real time with my students.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will be using the iPad and its accessories to deliver math instruction. The pen will help me write and instantly share math notes, discussions, and student contributions. The Apple TV will help me wirelessly share the iPad content with the whole class.
My classroom is already equipped with a projector.
So, I will be able to connect the AppleTV to the projector and the iPad to the Apple TV. As I project my lessons students will be able to copy notes that are being projected. I will also be able to project PointsPoints that I as a teacher create or that students present. Throughout math class, I tend to walk around the classroom. The iPad will make it easier to point to things on the screen and on the tablet itself. And even more wonderful is the fact that students too will be able to annotate on it and see their contributions projected.
I believe that effective teaching occurs when students are engaged in the instruction and are able to know their input is important. With this project, I will be able to keep students' attention by delivering engaging lessons that will value all students classroom contributions.
Thank you for supporting this public school project!
