My students are the best. Being able to bring Social Emotional Learning skills to them each and every day is something I am so passionate about. I teach SEL using a variety of materials, but in this day and age, technology brings so many new options to the table. Because I do not have access to my own classroom, it is hard to transport many materials on my cart and by obtaining an iPad, I would be able to bring more tools right to the classrooms.
My students come from an extremely low-income area and have disabilities that affect their learning, both academically and emotionally.
Being able to utilize an iPad while working with students who have issues with communication will be able to have them show me their responses and have them more involved in activities that are so important to their development, socially.
