My Students
My students are eager and fun-loving learners- especially in our Math classes! They are always very excited to use technology to build their math problem-solving skills or to try a new way of learning, even if that new way of learning is dancing to a song about place value or learning how to code, or build models.
My school has a large number of students who live in poverty and receive free and reduced-price lunch.
My school is a place where students often feel safer than anywhere else. They receive two meals a day, heat, and electricity. Most importantly, my students are surrounded by caring teachers that believe in their abilities. It is very important to me that my students have the same opportunities as their peers.
My Project
Enhancing student engagement is not easy, and it’s not as simple as making problems relevant or connecting them to the real world. To get students interested in math, we need to provide opportunities for students to authentically inquire.
Teaching math virtually!
I am an educator who enjoys engaging my students during math class. Due to the pandemic and teaching virtually I have found it hard to engage my students virtually. With the help of the TPT card, I'll be able to purchase engaging math lessons to present to my students while they are working in the comfort of their homes. My students all have a Chromebook now they just need engaging Google docs activities.
