My students need Kindle Fire tablets, screen protectors, headphones, and a charging station in order to learn and reinforce important pre-kindergarten skills.
My students are a diverse group of eager young learners. My 22 four- and five-year-olds love to learn! They are excited to be at school and learn through music, games, and hands-on activities. We love to use manipulatives and themed centers to learn basic skills through lessons and play.
I teach on a Military Installation, so my students move frequently and have unique challenges such as parents being gone for training and deployments for extended periods of time.
As we know, students who change schools often lose progress and fall behind their peers.
My Project
Let's face it, our kids like in a world full of technology. Digital literacy skills are so important in our high-tech world. My students will learn so much from interactive activities on these tablets.
My students come from military families, and don't always have access to current technology or a lot of time to work on school skills at home.
Many of my students spend 12+ hours a day away from home while their brave parents serve our country or have to deal with a parent being gone for extended periods of time. Therefore, their learning time at school is crucial.
These two Kindle Fire Tablets with protective cases, charging dock and headphones will motivate my students to learn skills like letter recognition, handwriting, counting, patterns, early reading skills, and so much more. Furthermore, these tablets will make it easy for me to reach each child on his or her individual level, providing access to specific skill practice for each learner in my class.
