Teaching Like a Pro

Help me give my students a better learning opportunity by allowing me to video my lessons with the help of an iPad Pro.

My Students

Living in Manhattan's Chinatown, my students have been learning remotely from home since March 23rd. Many are sharing electronic devices, some using devices given to them by the DOE, others even using phones. It is a daily struggle to get students logged on as many families speak other languages or struggle with the learning curve of all this technology. Many students are struggling for privacy in order to join in on my daily lessons. As for myself, I have a Chromebook, mini whiteboard, some markers, and books I was able to take home before needing to leave.

My Project

With an iPad Pro, I would be able to record my lessons so that my students can watch them. I would also like to create an archive of lessons for my students to view at their leisure. With the iPad Pro, I will also have access to a variety of apps that I currently do not have access to. The apps can help my instruction. With the Apple Pencil, I can easily notate and model on worksheets and other documents and Apps. Most importantly, this will help me record my screen so that my students can always have access to my lessons, even when they are not able to be "live."
