Help me give my students proper instruction during distance learning. In order to do that I as their teacher need a comfortable chair because I am currently disabled, so I can teach them virtually.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!
My classroom is greatly affected by this because I have students who are beyond stressed out because they don’t have the support at home to do the work on a computer or they don’t know how to navigate the computer.
They are learning in noisy environments and don’t have a good teacher to teach the lessons.
My Project
As I teach from home this ergonomic chair will help me produce lessons in comfort. It will allow me to conduct my lessons on zoom for longer periods of time. With the uncertainty of when school will begin in the classroom I will need this chair to continue teaching my students what they need to learn to be college and career ready. With currently being disabled it is very challenging to conduct my lessons on zoom without the proper furniture. It helps to focus on my teaching if I am teaching in comfort.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
