Teaching From the Heart and the Home

My Students

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am unable to see my students. My students are learning from home, working through learner packets to keep them engaged in the school year. Currently, we are not teaching new material and having weekly video check ins to make sure our students are doing ok. During those check-ins we are playing games and chatting about their lives in an effort to keep everyone connected.

My Project

Times are different for my learners. They left school on a Friday expecting to be back in two weeks. Fast forward those two weeks and they hear they won’t be returning at all. There was so much unknown. When will and if they see their classmates again, will they see their teacher again, how are they supposed to learn at home?

I am requesting a Teachers Pay Teacher giftcard to purchase digital learning games and engaging activities to connect with my learners.

During our weekly check ins my goal is to bring them a sense of normal. A chance to chat with their classmates, play a fun game and to feel like they are at school again. This gift card will allow me to engage my learners with choice boards, games and learning projects they can complete from the safety of their home!
