"Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have one idea spark another."—Marva Collins
Every day, my kids walk into my classroom so full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
They come from various cultures and economic statuses. My kids love to read and write. They just need the "write" tools. I want to give them the resources to read, write, draw, and to be as creative as they can be!
Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best, "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education."
My goal as an educator is to teach and provide the resources for my students to reach their given potential, in order for them to change the world.
The MacBook will offer my students, parents, and me multiple opportunities for engagement and interaction during this time of distance learning. This project was designed to work out the kinks and help our virtual classroom run smoothly.
This MacBook will transform learning in the virtual setting.
Having two screens will allow me to share my screen with students and interact with them on zoom. With 25 students in each class, I need to find a way to monitor my entire class. The second screen will help make this possible! Having effective technology is a key component to distance learning
