Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students will always be my primary agenda each year. Many of my students are from a very impoverished area in Miami, Florida; however, that does not mean that their interest in furthering their knowledge is no less important.
My students are from a very impoverished area in which school supplies are at a minimum for them and for teachers.
I am their support system amid this epidemic crisis in which the COVID-19 pandemic has compacted their lives.
My students are eager learners. My students are facing a time in life that they do not understand, yet, they are handling the situation phenomenally... better than any adult I know.
My Project
My class need a double wide teaching easel with a locking caster and markers for our community seating area during whole group time and small group time. As of now, when I read a big book to my students, I am usually standing with the big book in my hand while the large leaflets are disruptively flapping.
With the doublewide teaching easel, I can introduce the essential questions and the vocabulary words in one seating.
My students will be able partake in writing activities throughout instructional lesson cycles during the day.
