My Project
This project is geared around teaching compassion to my special ed class so that they can see through the eyes of a life form that requires someone to take care of all of their needs. Students will have to work together and follow feeding charts, grooming charts and cleaning charts to take care of guinea pigs to build caring skills that they could apply to others around them to help alleviate the suffering of those around them. The way we will measure success of the project is by measuring how independent my students are at taking care of all of the wants and needs of the pets without adult intervention.
