My Students

Technology has become incorporated in all aspects of a student's life, yet teachers tend to present information using only the traditional classroom method. Making video podcasts available to students will allow instant access outside of the classroom to the information we want them to learn.

My students are great students.

They attend a large public high school in a nice suburban community. Given the right opportunities, these students can create great learning tools. I want these tools so not only can I help provide information in a new way, but also so the students can create their own educational videos.

My Project

I am requesting a video camera and a tablet for writing to the computer. The video camera will allow us to create video lessons to post on YouTube and other places which students are already accessing on a regular basis. The tablet will allow me and my students to write equations or drawings during the video podcast to increase understanding.

Video podcasts are slowly being incorporated into the educational environment.

I believe the more learning opportunities we offer to students outside of the classroom, the more they will learn. This project will provide that opportunity.
