Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This will be my second year of teaching first grade in a school serving low-income households. As I prepare for the new school year, I am planning on creating and implementing fun activities and lessons to encourage excitement in our classroom.
I want to be to provide lesson activities that differentiate learning and go beyond our standard curriculum.
Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) is an amazing website that can give me resources to accomplish my goal. Since my school does not have a writing curriculum, I would like to use this website to find engaging writing prompts and vocabulary cards for students to use. Throughout the year, this website can help me find phonics games and handwriting sheets for ELA centers or addition/subtraction task cards for math instruction. With these resources from TPT, I can meet individual learning needs and increase excitement with my first grade students.
