Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from low socioeconomic families. Most are second language learners and only get the chance to speak English at school. 100% of our students qualify for breakfast and lunch. Many students don’t know when their next meal will come. Our students receive free uniforms and free backpacks. Many of our families live in multi-family households. My students need extra supplies so they can have a safe, warm, and welcoming environment when they come to school. Please help support our class!
My Project
I am asking for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card so that I can purchase distance learning packets for students to work on at home. So many amazing teachers have spent time and energy creating these to work for distance learning. There are so many resources that have been created such as cutting & glueing, rhyming, themed packets like life cycles & spring. There are also these new activities for Seesaw called Boom Cards that I am hoping to purchase to make learning more engaging and interactive for my students.
