My Students

Our school is an academically successful, rural high school that is usually filled to the brim with about 900 wonderful students. Of course, COVID-19 is still present, but we are successfully "having school!" We are meeting the needs of those face-to-face and those who need to stay home for a while. We also serve a large military community. Our students are smart, athletic, and driven to succeed.

In the state's previous ranking system, our high-performing high school had been ranked as a top ten public high school in NC for eleven consecutive years.

We are proud of our success in the classroom.

Hurricanes, storms, and flood tides often impact our coastal community; they temporarily set us back. However, we are particularly strong when faced with adversity and my students remain that way now, mid-pandemic: strong, resilient, and flexible.

My Project

Career and Technical Education Teachers are always looking for resources - activities, games, worksheets - to supplement the curriculum. It's easy to find what you need on a website called Teachers Pay Teachers. This website is a compilation of teacher-made and vetted resources that are a cut above the usual Google search resources. Students respond well to excellently produced materials.

We have most of our students back in the classroom after a very long 2 years.

I seek additional help in finding quality resources for them. We do have state approved resources but this gift card will offer more engaging and project based learning. Thank you for helping us with these digital resources.
