Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is filled with hard working fifth graders. My students have to work a little harder than your average student because they are still learning the English Language. Not only are my students expected to keep up with grade level content... they must also master English. I teach at a Title I school, so my students also come into class facing other hardships, but despite what they may be going through, they come in smiling and ready to go.
I strive to make a difference in all my students, constantly trying to find ways to inspire them.
I aim to make learning fun and engaging all while creating a caring/loving learning environment.
My Project
I am always looking for ways to grow as an educator. Being a second year teacher, I know that I still have a lot learn. Going to this conference will give me new tools to use in my classroom. I am looking to learn more teaching and engagement strategies.
Get Your Teach On Conference covers some of the most current research based strategies, best practices to engage and inspire student, and ways to build a successful and engaging classroom.
These are just a few of the things I will take away going to this conference. My goal is to always have my students engaged in my lessons so that my students will be more successful in their learning.
Overall, these donations will not only help to improve my teaching style and active engagement strategies, but will also help my students to dig deeper in their learning.
