My Students

Each year that I have taught, my students always learn that “please” and “thank you” are my favorite words and one of my favorite life lessons. Every year my students teach me something new, though. They constantly amaze me with the way they share their ideas. Often our lessons revolve around “prove it!” or explaining our thinking. I am in awe of how their little brains grow, develop, and how they see the world.

They challenge me to answer questions and to become a stronger educator.

But above all, they know that we are a team and we are in this together. We work together, we laugh, we ask questions, we tell stories, and we strive to do our best! Each of my students enters and leaves the Ice Box each day knowing that I think they are “so fantastic! And so fabulous!” and I will always consider each of them one of my very dear friends.

My Project

The vision for the Teach Your Heart Out conferences boasts about the value of collaboration, diversity, instructional strategies, and engagement.

I am eager to connect with teachers, learn from top educators, and celebrate the heart of teaching.

Teach Your Heart Out's mission celebrates providing teachers high-level strategies and restores what's most important in teaching.

With this conference, I will be able to pack 2 full days worth of professional development learning in the areas of STEM, ELA, Project-Based Learning, and Math. I will be able to hear from top educators about inspiring ways to grow as an educator. I could not be more excited about this opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate teaching!
