My Students

I've worked at my school since the beginning of my teaching career. Over the years I have taught Kindergarten, First grade and now as literacy specialist and coach I get to interact with all students and teachers.

My school is filled with student diversity!

The students represent so many cultures and languages. They each give so much to this school every day. It is an absolute pleasure to get spend my day with these children! I can not even imagine working in another place.

My Project

At our school, the students range on the spectrum of reading, from pattern books to thick novels! Therefore, within each classroom teachers need to reach the need of every reader so they all can continue to progress as an individual reader!

This professional resource is incredible at supporting teachers to support students as growing readers.

Within this text it gives over 300 ideas for differentiation to support struggling readers as well as accelerating readers in small groups and one-on-one conferences. With these resources, teachers can meet in a study group to plan lessons to help students continue to grow as readers!
