My Students

I've worked at my school since the beginning of my teaching career. Over the years I have taught Kindergarten, First grade and now as literacy specialist and coach I get to interact with all students and teachers.

My school is filled with student diversity!

The students represent so many cultures and languages. They each give so much to this school every day. It is an absolute pleasure to get spend my day with these children! I can not even imagine working in another place.

My Project

At our school, the students range as writers, from drawing pictures to writing essays! Therefore, within each classroom teachers need to reach the need of every writer so they all can continue to progress as individual writers!

This professional resource is incredible at supporting teachers to support students as growing writers in a range of stages from development to structure to engagement strategies.

Within this text it gives over 300 ideas for differentiation to support struggling writers as well as accelerating writers in small groups and one-on-one conferences. With these resources, teachers can meet in a study group to plan lessons to help students continue to grow as writers!
