This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 28 eager first-grade students who enjoy learning how to read, write, and do math. Our awesome school is located in Southern California. They need better access to top notch digital

lessons that I can import directly into our learning platform Canvas.

My students range from gifted and talented to below grade level. We are proud to be a Nationally Recognized School of Excellence and have won many prestigious awards. Since we are not a Title I school, funding extra projects is very difficult!

My Project

Study.com has a collection of 83,000 video lessons and teaching tools that include a massive collection of bite-sized, animated video lessons for every subject and level, and specifically made for Elementary school students. The ready-to-use lesson plans, quizzes and printable worksheets are perfect for creating assignments for distance learners. I can differentiate for my students with custom courses, scheduling tools, transcripts, and other resources.

The lessons accommodates different learning styles and includes work for all subjects.

I am currently using Canvas and Google Classroom and the Study.com website has lessons that import directly into both Canvas and Google Classroom. The major subjects covered are math, science, social studies, and English.

Google Translate plug-in provides access in over 100 languages which is perfect for our ELD learners and their families. School is definitely not the same this year! Access to this incredible resource which is made by top notch teachers could provide valuable lessons that students can access digitally.
