My Project

I work in a low-income area where many of my students face daily challenges, including trauma and instability from a very young age. Despite these hardships, they come to school each day full of resilience, curiosity, and a desire to learn. What I love most about my students is their strength, kindness, and determination. They are searching for a place where they feel safe, valued, and supported—and I strive every day to make our classroom that place.

This year, I am moving to a new grade level, and with that change comes the need for fresh, grade-appropriate materials to meet my students where they are.

This project will allow me to purchase high-quality resources from Teachers Pay Teachers that align with the HMH Into Reading program. These materials will help me differentiate instruction, reinforce foundational reading skills, and create engaging, supportive lessons that meet the diverse needs of my new group of learners.

While the core curriculum provides a foundation, TpT allows me to access teacher-created resources that are both creative and effective, perfect for helping students deepen their comprehension, build confidence, and enjoy the learning process.
