My students need this listening center and books so that they can explore nonfiction reading!
This project expired on January 7, 2012.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Do you remember learning about Fictions friend Non-Fiction? There is a big difference between reading and writing non-fiction. This project will help bridge the gap for some awesome second graders!
My students are eager to learn and come from homes where the only reading they may get is at school.
Help them to read and listen to books while they learn about animals. Mastering the art of reading non-fiction is a hard task and something we are focusing on in our class this year, and years to come!
We are in need of a new tape player and headphones that fit our heads and not in our ears! We also need a cassette player and books with tapes to broaden our knowledge of the genre and animals. The 10 Shelf Organizer will help to organize out books, tapes, and story maps (which will help us organize what we are learning).
Non-Fiction is a genre that we must learn, or how will we learn through school.
Think about it. All the text a child reads in school is non-fiction. Science, Social Studies, Math, all of these are so important in life. Help these students to master this skill at an early age!
