My students are the cream of the crop. I teach a classroom full of 24 eight and nine year old boys and girls. We live in a wonderful school district that has lots of families from all walks of life. The children and their families both, have been so flexible with our school year and have continued to thrive despite our chaos.
I was gifted several generous donations when my last project was fully funded and to use those dollars, I had to start a new project.
So much of our magic learning occurs at the teacher table. It's a horseshoe shaped table, where 6 -7 friends meet with me multiple times a day. We write on the top, we use play doh, we do math and learn parts of speech and how to write stories. We dissect words and work on spelling patterns. I guess what I'm trying to say is our table is the heart of our room. Here's hoping this new table brings us lots of joys and teachable moments together during our teacher time.
