My Students

As a kindergarten teacher, I get the excitement of meeting new precious faces with unique personalities every year. All of my students will come from a variety of different diverse backgrounds and most if not all of them will come from low-income housing. My school is in Bridgeport, CT which is an inner city district and my school specifically is located in a neighborhood where the poverty level is very high and we do not get any money for resources.

My Project

I will use the cardstock and laminating pouches to create hands on math and literacy centers for my students to use during literacy and math stations. I create many literacy and math games on my own and print them for my students to play and learn with. Usually, I print them on plain paper and they will get wear and tear after time. I would like to create centers using card stock and laminate them so I can use them for many years to come. I would like to organize the centers in the organizer bin carts for students to independently select the activities on their own during center time.
