My Project

My students are Deaf and hard of hearing. I struggle to come up with materials that are designed to their unique needs. They need instruction on self-advocacy, remediation, and life skills. The areas of need do not match the materials we are provided to teach and I am left with coming up with my own teaching materials and worksheets.

Through the use of the Teachers Pay Teachers website I am able to obtain teaching materials that are already designed by other teachers for the Deaf who know my students' unique needs and have tailored lessons and materials for them.

This makes lesson planning easier and gives me more time to focus on teaching and my other responsibilities.
