This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When you enter my classroom, you will see students from various backgrounds, economic statuses, and learning needs. But more importantly, you will see students that are kind, thoughtful, encouraging, and who love learning. My students may speak 27 different languages and have had different struggles in their lives, but they never give up.
We believe in having a growth mindset!
My students amaze me everyday at their ability to persevere and understand that it is okay to fail, as long as you get back up.
My Project
One thing I am always telling my students is, "You are in charge of your own learning." I want them to be brave, take risks, and reach for the stars. I encourage them to be life long learners. How can I do that if I am not one myself? I love growing, reflecting, and improving every day.
Teamwork makes the Dream Work!
There are so many wonderful educators out there and all I want is to learn from them and continue to create a wonderful classroom that my students are excited to be apart of. Collaboration is key, not only for students but for teachers as well. The best professional developments I have ever been in are the ones where teachers are in charge and sharing their learning with me. I would love to go to Teach Your Heart Out Con and bring all of my new knowledge to my classroom.
