My Students

Each day our students are receiving instruction for communication skills, academics and social skills. We keep the atmosphere positive and the students engaged by putting responsibilities in their hands. High fives and praises are always used in high volumes. Everyday begins and ends with a smile.

Our classroom is made up of students in the Autism program.

They are receiving assistance on all different levels in the areas of communication, social skills, and academics. We are constantly looking for different strategies to incorporate into our classroom to give students the best opportunities.

My Project

Our students will use these iPads to work on individual skills for communication, academics and social skills. Having access to iPads allows our students to work at their own pace and to an individualized rigor to promote maximum success. With the use of iPads, we will have more flexibility in the programs we choose and the skills that we have the students work on.

Most of our students do not have access to technology outside of school.

They rarely get all the help and services that they need. Access to tools like the i pads at school makes more of an impact than one might think. There are so many beneficial programs that our students would have access too that cover multiple areas of need. Our students can work hard and feel successful through these individualized programs.
