Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a great group of 4th graders who are excited to learn daily. They are an energetic group of 9- and 10-year-olds who love to work in groups and share their ideas. They come from many different backgrounds, but all share a love for learning.
Our classroom is a place where students have many opportunities to be themselves.
We have many students who are English learners in our community and our students learn from one another. Pittsburg is a diverse city and the students at my school are no exception.
My Project
With our school year starting off remotely, it would be great to have the technology available to make the transition from summer to back to school as natural as possible.
When distance learning began, I attempted to use a whiteboard, to introduce and teach new material for online learning.
It did not go as planned. The camera on my computer was not clear and the students missed a lot of what was being taught.
The Samsung Notebook computer with the "Active Pen", I plan to teach the same way I would in the classroom setting. Students would see exactly what the lesson objectives are in an accurate representation.
