This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a wonderful group of students in a diverse area. I am blessed to teach an amazing group of students who I believe are excited about learning. They work very hard every day striving to achieve.

I teach students who are eager to learn but are not provided the resources that other students have.

I know in my heart I am teaching our future doctors, lawyers, nurses, and engineers. Most of them are low income and receive free lunch.

My Project

The HP Chromebook will be used to help me enhance my financial literacy skills. With the Chromebook, I will be able to access financial literacy websites. On these websites, I can learn tips and ideas, and different ways to teach my students about Financial Literacy. I will also attend professional development webinars and workshops about teaching budgeting, savings plans, and money management.

Teaching financial literacy to students on this level will help them make good choices about spending money.

The HP Chromebook will make a financial literacy teacher expert. This will be a positive learning experience for my students and myself.
