My Students
My students are excited, motivated, talented individuals who know technology is the way of the future. We focus on bringing real-life situations into the classroom to help them prepare for life on their own when they go to college. Many students care for their families by working or taking care of younger siblings, and my classes give them skills they need to be successful at home with their families as well as when they live life on their own.
My students come from all walks of life and are eager to learn Life Skills that will help them in the real world.
Our school in nestled in the northwest corner of Louisiana and we pride ourselves on our family and community focus. As a first year teacher, I could not have asked for a more wonderful group of students to work with!
My Project
My students absolutely love working in the kitchen labs and creating new combinations, but oftentimes the paper recipes get ruined and they can't keep them. With an iPad and special case, students will be able to have a digital reference of the recipe without fear of losing it.
My students devour technology and thrive on including it whenever possible, so having an iPad in the kitchen would be amazing.
We will be able to share the iPad among the seven kitchen labs and students will be able to create their own Tasty-type videos to share with other classmates and schools across the country!
