Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a small Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program. Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. There are 16 different languages spoken at my school. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language.

My 5-year-old Kindergarten students usually come into Kindergarten not knowing much, but it's amazing to watch them learn and grow over the school year.

Many students say they are having so much fun that they want to come to school even on weekends.

My Project

This kid-inspired project is the most loved and favorite of all. My students kept asking to go on to more exercising adventures that allowed them to move around and go around the world while learning different amazing facts.

They get to walk, run, hop, jump, climb, skip, and more while watching the exercise video on screen with fun characters.

Each video is about 30 minutes in length, but we'd do 2 exercises a day, totaling 60 minutes of exercise time every day.

I was lucky to get the program funded last year, I'm hoping to be able to provide the same excitement to my future students this year. Also getting the stability ball chairs for my students would be a great alternative way to stay fit and get their wiggles out!
