This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In this valuable project, our goal is to improve our classroom’s air quality. We are building Corsi-Rosenthal air filters, which are DIY air purifiers proven to reduce airborne pollutants. However, to finish the project, we need donations of duct tape—an essential material for sealing and securing the filters so they work effectively.
These air filters offer many health benefits for our students.
By removing pollutants like dust, allergens, and even viruses from the air, they can help reduce the risk of respiratory issues, improve overall air quality, and create a cleaner, healthier environment in which students can focus and learn more comfortably. Clean air can also decrease the spread of colds and other airborne illnesses, which means fewer missed school days and a healthier classroom for all.
Each roll of duct tape brings us closer to a healthier classroom for our 9th graders. If you are able, please consider donating to help us complete this project. Your support is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference!
