My Students

My students in my dance classes are some of the most amazing and talented students I know. They are extremely encouraging of one another and even more encouraging of me.

They are always excited to be there and it shows through their dancing and the memories we create every day.

They have brought tears to my eyes on stage and have become student leaders in our school. They brighten up my days and I am so grateful for that. I am so lucky to be able to work with the most talented and hard-working students!

My Project

My classroom currently has tap shoes, but not all sizes. The classes that have begun learning tap absolutely love it. Tapping Tuesday has become their favorite day of the week! But I have not been able to start for all of my classes due to a lack in bigger shoe sizes. When I measured my 8th grade students for their shoe sizes, I noticed that I did not have many sizes that my students need. I want to be able to give all of my students the opportunity to tap in my class, no matter what size shoe they are. I also want all my of my students to feel comfortable and confident when wearing these shoes. This will help to create an atmosphere full of fun, learning, and beautiful dance making for all.
