This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With the days progressively passing us by, we continue to see the and accept that mental health is important. Even more now than ever we have to care for ourselves in different ways. We have to directly teach and show our youth how to be calm and self soothe.
It is for this reason that I am requesting support in obtaining a few gadgets/tools to help my students in their time of need.
Now that we have gotten to the point where each student has their own chrome book, the calm strips are a great way to discretely give them access to a tool daily. The stress balls will be something to use as a reward or if I see a student is in need of one.
I know these tools are something that will be a positive impact on my students and their learning experience. I hope that this is a life long technique that they use to help them along the road of life.
