Talking Technology!

Help me give my students access to technology! An iPad in a therapeutic session will be used for a multitude of applications!

My Students

My students are in grades Pre-K through 6th with varying degrees of abilities. I serve students who have Speech and or Language disorders including articulation, speaking fluency (like stuttering), voice disorders, and receptive and expressive language disorders. I also serve students with multiple disabilities including autism, seizure disorder, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and hydrocephalus. They are hardworking, amazing students who deserve every advantage that I can give them. They come into my speech room with eyes wide and hearts and brains ready to learn.

My Project

My students are full of life and potential! They are excited about learning every day. They love being part of our school and all activities that we have to offer. All of my students live in areas of poverty and face challenges with that everyday; school can be the only constant that provides stability in their lives. All students learn in different ways and with differing abilities. Nearly all of them are "different thinkers" and require differentiated instruction to meet their needs.

This iPad will allow them to see material in different ways.

It will help my students learn syntax, grammar, and vocabulary skills in a fun and engaging way. It will allow students with articulation errors to record and hear their errors and see a different approach to making their sound correct. For the non-verbal students that I service, trials with different voice output programs can be life changing. Imagine not being able to speak and then being given a way to communicate! An Ipad can give them a voice and everyone deserves a voice. Help me give them a voice!
