Talk, Relax or Move Around? Which Do I Need?

Help me give my students yoga ball chairs, conversation cards, and tools to help them relax.

My Project

We all know that students have many needs. Emotional needs can be tricky, as they are not all the same. Many times, young children do not know what they need in order to manage how they are feeling.

I am asking for supplies to help my students understand what they may need or need to do when they are having big feelings.

Some students need to talk, which is what I would be using the different conversation cards for. Some students simply need some thing to help them relax and not focus on whatever it is that is upsetting them. This is where the sensory stickers and color changing speaker come in. Some children need to look at books with characters who may be feeling the same as they are. The books also will help students identify some of these big feelings they may be having. Yet other students simply just need to be able to move around a bit, which is why I am asking for the yoga ball chairs. Lastly, I am also asking for a social emotional reproducible workbook so that I can work with students daily as a whole group and do just a small piece of social emotional learning that takes 5 to 10 minutes every day. I think students will benefit heavily from having a short daily exposure to these topics.
