My Project

The middle school gifted education students have initiated a bi-monthly newscast titled "Talk of the Tribe." The project is divided into four segments, each with roles such as director, writer, cameraperson, anchor, and editor. Despite facing limitations with only one video camera and tripod, the students collaborate, communicate, and address challenges within their respective segments. Providing us with the funds to purchase three additional cameras and tripods will allow the production team to create their segments in a more timely manner, so they aren't waiting around to use the one video camera we do.

The newscast, with a focus on students and staff, aims to enhance the sense of community within the school.

"Talk of the Tribe" proves effective in engaging gifted learners by allowing them to concentrate on their strengths within the production process. The project's impact extends to fostering a stronger connection among students and staff in the school environment.
