Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The need for peer mentorship and leadership is crucial especially here in Hawai'i where cultural and societal norms play a huge role in how our students conduct themselves.
By creating a mentorship program and having the students read "Touching Spirit Bear" is the first step in getting the students focused on the struggles and hardships they all face and the solutions that they can use to overcome these struggles.
Also, utilizing a PS5 system and having them make decisions that affect their future, allows for critical thinking in a world where electronics drive their world.
